Dr Judy King Judy King (Team Doctor)

I am a retired GP having taken early retirement 5 years ago. since when my husband and I have been out of the UK more than we have been at home! I have 2 children who are now in their 20's and 2 step grandchildren. I love travelling, skiing, playing tennis, walking, cycling, decorating, gardening, sewing, reading and cooking so I needed to retire! I am also trying to learn French in my spare time! Very much looking forward to the trip. It will be my 4th.

I am married with 2 boys and 3 granchildren. I'm a nurse and work in general practice in Biggleswade running a respiratory clinic and I work for the Department of Health. My hobbies are playing the piano, travelling and generally messing around. My claim to fame is that I played in a 9 piece rock band last year at the Stables Theatre in Wavendon, Milton Keynes.

Have just changed career from pharmaceutical medical sales. Am enjoying my new role as practice nurse in a rurla surgery. I have 2 boys, Steve (18) and Ed (15). Musical interests range from jazz to rock. More creative and artistic than sporty but love to ski. Have been involved in the Winter Park Ski Groups for 8 years.

I joined the Navy in 93 then after Uni I qualified as a Naval Engineer then transferred to become a Helicopter Pilot. I spent 2 years working with the Royal Marines in Northern Ireland and Iraq. Moved to Cornwall for 18 months to be a Search and Rescue Pilot. I now work as a Royal Navy Test Pilot in Portsmouth, flying all military Helicopters. I live in Salisbury with my wife Susie, 3 kittens and a puppy. My interests include sports cars, computers and rock climbing. I have been skiing several times around Europe but can't use the 2 planks that everyone else uses!!

I live in Truro, Cornwall with my partner Barbara Sage. I am looking forward to another successful trip to Winterparks, Colorado. I have been nominated as Head Catering Manager for the trip so I would like to apologise to everyone now for them losing weight on the trip! The skiing will be good though and so will the smiles on the faces of the children.

This will be my return to skiing after a 20 year break. I’ve had a varied career including 8 years in Banking, 12 years Teaching PE including working in a Special School, and now I’m a House Husband but trying to become an electrician!. I am a keen runner, although may be not on the trip. This will be my first time both with the Salveson Ski Group and going to the U.S. but I’m looking forward to going once I have finished this Web Site. Married to Paula who is also coming on the trip.

Hi there! 41 years old, mum of three but lost Jack a year ago. Married my soul mate 18 months ago. Love to travel and would like to live and work in Africa at some stage. Going to India in February on my own after a very difficult 12 months. Never learnt to ski despite living in Austria as a teenager.

Since moving from Glasgow following my graduation from Uni 2 years ago, I have been living and working in Oxford as a Prosthetist at the NUffield Orthopaedic Centre. In my spare time I row competitively for the City of Oxford Rowing Club senior squad and enjoy spending time with my friends and family. In the last year I have caught the skiing bug and have been to the slopes of Austria nd France, and intend to go again with my friends after hopefully improving my ability at Winter Park this March, although I feel that the guys going to Winter Park might show me up!

Hi I’m Hanna ,I’m 19 years old and just full of life. I’m currently studying Public Service at college with a hope to go into the Army. I like meeting new people and doing new things. This trip covers both so I’m really looking forward to it. I drive an old Volvo 340 car, she’s called Betty and is senior in years, she is also in need of much attention from my Dad.

Having graduated from Durham University, I now work at Jardine Lloyd Thompson as a Terrorism and Political Risk Broker in the City. A big sports fan, I play hockey regularly, as well as tennis and am a bit of a fitness fanatic! I have a love of the outdoods, extreme sports skier - having skied since I was 4 years old! Always up for an adventure and a challenge, I'm very much looking forward to taking on the Mary Jane Bowl for the second year running!

I work as a youth worker. I have two roles. The first is working with the Leighton-Linslade Youth Forum. My second role is to manage the TACTIC Centre. This is a teenage advice and information centre for young people aged between 12 and 21. I am also currently in my second year at De Montfort University studying Youth and Community Development. When I am not working or studying, I enjoy going to the Gym with my sister, Tap Dancing, Reading and getting together with friends. I am energetic and bubbly , oh and I can’t Ski !.

When I’m not falling over on the ski slope, I am a Mum to Matthew and Katie, and an Assistant Head working in a Community Special School in Lincolnshire.

I am 41 years old, married and living in Netley Abbey, just outside Southampton. I currently work for the Royal Yachting Association as a Regional Development Officer, however I started my career as a PE teacher before specialising in Outdoor Education and Watersports. Much of my spare time is spent sailing and a few years ago I took this to the extreme and went sailing for 8 months in the Mediterranean. I would call myself an intermediate skier having had several skiing holidays in Europe and Canada. However having not skied for a few years I may be relegated back to a beginner!

I'm 21, am in my final year studying Drama at Loughborough University. My passions are travel, film, music, motorsport and skiing. I live to ski; as with the SSG trip last year, I hope I can pass on that passion to someone else.

I work as a Business Account Manager for a telecommunications company. In my past I have trained as a chef, have been a ski instructor and have worked as cabin crew for a charter airline. I enjoy travelling and have a touring caravan in which I have travelled all over Europe. I am a DIY expert and have put my skills to the test by buying a Victorian House in need of much attention. I have recently taken up an evening class entitled: find your voice! Watch out Pop Idol. I go skiing with friends at least once a year.
